New Delhi, [India], January 23, 2026: Capt. Poonam Devrakhyani, an officer of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, has secured All India Rank 24 in the Professional Category of the National AI Olympiad™ 2025, organized by TalentSprint (Part of Accenture). She was the only professional from an aviation background among the national top rankers.
Capt. Devrakhyani scored 63 out of 70 marks (90%), placing her in the 95.83 percentile at the national level, and also achieved State Rank 3. The National AI Olympiad witnessed participation from professionals across multiple sectors, including technology, analytics, consulting, and corporate domains.
As per the official performance report, Capt. Devrakhyani achieved 100% scores in several key artificial intelligence areas, including Python & Mathematics, Machine Learning Fundamentals, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing & Transformers, and Generative AI, reflecting strong proficiency in both foundational and advanced AI technologies.
With over 18 years of experience in aviation operations, safety oversight, and regulatory functions, her achievement highlights the growing relevance of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making in strengthening civil aviation safety and regulatory oversight.
The achievement underscores the Government of India’s emphasis on capacity building, continuous professional development, and adoption of emerging technologies among regulatory professionals to support a safe, efficient, and future-ready civil aviation ecosystem.
