Mumbai, (Maharashtra) [India]: In a world where stories often struggle to find space, the WE Literary Community has quietly built a nurturing platform for voices that deserve to be heard. Continuing its commitment to celebrating meaningful literary contributions, the community has conferred the WE SarVaMangalaM Erudition Award 2026 upon Shradha Ahuja Ramani, recognising her impactful journey in writing and her dedicated work within the literary ecosystem.
Founded in September 2016 by editor, poet, and artist Smeetha Bhoumik, the WE Literary Community has steadily evolved into a space that amplifies and encourages women’s voices. With the launch of its literary journal, Yugen Quest Review, in 2021, the initiative expanded its vision further, creating opportunities for writers to share stories rooted in identity, resilience, and creative expression.
Shradha Ahuja Ramani’s recognition this year reflects her consistent efforts in shaping meaningful conversations through literature. A bilingual author, publisher, poet, literary curator, moderator, and educationist, she has devoted herself to literature since the age of eleven. What began as a personal connection with books has grown into a lifelong journey of writing, reading, curating, publishing, and building literary communities. She is the author of 14 books in Hindi and English, spanning poetry, fiction, reflective prose, and socially conscious writing, often exploring women’s voices, lived realities, and human emotions with a quiet yet powerful intensity.
Beyond her writing, she has played a defining role in shaping Ahmedabad’s literary landscape. As the Founder of the Ahmedabad Literary Society, she has built a vibrant platform that brings together poets, authors, readers, students, and thinkers through meaningful engagements. She is also the Founder and Publisher of Savitri Publications, which supports diverse voices and thoughtful storytelling. Her leadership journey includes serving as the former President of Ahmedabad Book Club, where she strengthened the city’s reading culture through author interactions and discussions, and as the former Literary Advisor to Karma Foundation.
Academically, she holds a PhD in Political Science, along with advanced degrees in Women and Gender Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication, English Literature, Philosophy, and Public Administration. A B.Ed. Gold Medalist, she is currently pursuing studies in the Bhagavad Gita, reflecting her continued commitment to learning and introspection. At her core, Shradha Ahuja Ramani is not just an author, but a literary nurturer and community builder who believes literature must not only be written and read, but also shared, questioned, and lived.
The SarVaMangalaM Erudition Award carries a deeper emotional and cultural significance. SarVaMangalaM is an acronym honouring both motherhood and the Goddess of Learning, Saraswati, while also paying tribute to three maternal figures. Smt. Vaswati Ganguly, mother of Dr. Somrita Urni Ganguly, Smt. Maya Sen Roy, mother of Smeetha Bhoumik, and Smt. Mamata Bhoumik, Smeetha’s mother in law. The award stands as a symbol of knowledge, nurturing, and the generational strength behind creative expression.
Adding to the moment of pride for the literary community, Smeetha Bhoumik’s
poetry has landed on the moon in the Lunar Codex—an extraordinary archival project of art, poetry, music and film, designed by Dr. Samuel Peralta. Her poetry features in The Polaris Trilogy, edited by Dr. Joyce Brinkman, and included in the Lunar Codex. This global recognition marks a significant milestone, symbolising how creative expression can transcend boundaries, both earthly and beyond. Smeetha is Chief Editor of ‘Jalam’, an international anthology on water at Panorama International Literature Festival ’25, carrying beautiful voices from around the world in praise of water (Writers International Edition, 2025, editorial team – Dr. Somrita Urni Ganguly, Dr. Toolika Rani, Linguist Gargi Sarkel Bagchi, Musician Justin Eli Kahn).
Together, these achievements reflect a shared vision to create a safer, more inclusive space for women and for all those who believe in equality, creative freedom, and collective growth. The WE Literary Community continues to stand as a testament to the enduring power of
storytelling, where every voice matters and every story holds the potential to inspire change.
