Vadodara (Gujarat) [India]: Team Lease, India’s First Vocational Skills University hosted the Annual Award Ceremony for Academic Excellence and achievements for various departments of students.
The event commenced with a cultural performances organized by Ras Rang Club under the theme AIKYAM in line with India’s G20 Presidency and University Connect Programme. The winners of various co-scholastic cultural competitions and sports events like Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Chess and Carom conducted during the academic year 2022-23 were awarded with medals, certificates and trophies.
In addition to this, the students from various departments had participated in the Climate Change Youth Outreach Fortnight Programme initiated by Department of Climate Change, Government of Gujarat. Under this, various competitions like-Elocution, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing, Innovative Ideas to Combat Climate Change and Group Discussion were held. The outstanding achievers in this program were honoured with endowment prizes and certificates in each category. Whereas, the University had also conducted Essay Writing Competition on the topic ‘National Flag of India-Pride of Our Nation’ under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Winners of the same were given certificates.
Addressing, Prof. (Dr) Avani Umatt, Provost, TeamLease Skills University admired the spirit of participation exhibited by the students as it takes courage to fearlessly step out of one’s comfort zone and showcase one’s talents. She also expressed her belief that success comes as a result of united and consolidated efforts by every member of Ras Rang club team, and hoped that staff, students and coordinators would continue to work in unity for the betterment of all concerned.
Prof. (Dr) H.C. Trivedi, Registrar, TeamLease Skills University was also present and graced the cultural event along with Head of departments, teaching and Non-Teaching staff.
Total 57 Awardees were awarded Certificates of merit and Prizes across various departments like Department of Commerce and Management, Department of Health, Life and Applied Sciences, Department of Hospitality and Tourism, Department of Information Technology and Department of Mechatronics.
